YouTube videos display and play fine in Presentation/Preview mode and Schedules/Preview mode.  However they display as a blank white screen on the actual Display.  We did not create the YouTube content.  We are just pointing at existing content and haven't changed our presentations or schedules for ages.  They simply stopped playing YouTube videos. I have tried restarting the displays based on posts found here re: clearing caches but that had no affect.

Versions:
Operating System: 64-bit Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise
Player Version: RisePlayerElectron 2016-06-13-18-00
Viewer Version: 1-06-201606292020
Installed Browser:Chrome 49.0.2623.75

I also tried to create a New Presentation with one single Video Item pointing to a random YouTube video and got the same result.  Swapped the Video Item for the free Video Widget.  It plays fine when you preview it, but on the display it says " Sorry, there was a problem playing the video".  I have three rise vision displays all with the same versions above.

Cheers,
Mike

Mike,

My recommendation for YouTube Videos would be to use the YouTube Widget. You can use it on trial to ensure that it works as you expect it to, and then start a subscription if it works as you need it to.

The Video Item and Widget were not designed to run YouTube videos, so I would not recommend using those.

Does that work for you?

OK, I've reached out to Cenique and they're asking for the serial number. I've sent them every number I can find on the media player itself, monitor, everything and they say none of them are the correct serial number. The "player" says Lenovo but the monitors say "Cenique". Is there something I'm missing?

Ryan, which OS your player is? I though Cenique make players only for Android OS only, but Lenovo brand on the player suggests me that it is not Android device. Do you by some crazy chance have Cenique player installed on a Windows device?

Ryan,

I don't think Cenique makes monitors, the Cenique Players are the small devices hooked up to your monitor that look like this.

I could tell your Displays were Cenique by looking at the Display Settings for those ones, as they looked like this:

There is however the possibility that they just have the exact same settings as a Cenique Player, but are not a Cenique Player. That would be a first for me, but I'm sure it may be possible.

When you start up your device, do you see the Cenique logo while it is booting?

Ok. Figured out what happened. Everything's updated with Cenique. I re-did the Small Group presentation with the updated version of Editor (at least I'm fairly certain I did). It can see it play in the Preview section but I've restarted that monitor and it's still not playing. Still a white screen.

Ryan,

Is this the Small Group Warmup Presentation?
