I created a HTML item with an embedded YouTube link.  I see the video appear when I preview it but I need to click the video to start it.  Is there a way for the video to run when you preview it or will it run once it's displayed on the TV?

Yes there is, 'autoplay=1.' I am using 'autoplay' and 'loop' too. It is in the embed code portion:

Below is what I have, it does not seem to be playing, am I missing something?

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/OrevRrWde-Q/&autoplay=1&loop=1"; frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

You are using the wrong embed code! You are using 'SHARE' instead of 'EMBED.' Select the proper tab and use code from there with 'iframe' brackets already included. You can change more settings there, custom size and all.

I did click on the embed tab on YouTube and I am getting the same code as I listed below, is there another embed tab on YouTube that I am missing

Eric, I do not know what you are clicking, but this is not the code. This is for your code: {iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/OrevRrW..." width="560" height="315"}{/iframe} It is under Share tab, and that also has 3 tabs: Share, Embed, Email. You need to select that Embed tab. Trust me it is there, just look for it. When you have it, add those autoplay and loop values, or whatever you need in your case. You can also use available size presets or use your custom size for the embed video. There are some other options available. For example, I like removing info, so the video appears as clean as possible.

This forum does not allow posting proper codes...

I did exactly what you did above on the YouTube site.  What is different from the embedded coded I posted online to what you are showing me in the clip above?  To me it matches up

Sorry, I do not want to sound rude, But I am very busy right now, but I also wan to help you, so here is your working code: http://prodo.us/dsigns/YTvideo/YTvideo.txt (I tested it, it works). Change the video size as you need it.

After taking your code and my code, I did everything correct from the beginning except I had a "/" before "&autoplay" where you had a "?"

But does it work now? I noticed that too by the way, and I took it out and it broke the link for me. And I believe the reason was that you cannot post proper links here in the forum, they get cut off or changed.

Also, something to think about. Instead of using embedded specific video, I use playlist embed code. This way I can easily manage multiple videos in that playlist, and I do not have to change the code whenever the video changed. I move videos in and out for that playlist and never have to revise the embed code.
