Ok here are the facts,
  1. 2 similar computers, only two for this account.
  2. One schedule, both computers in the schedule.
  3. All presentations published.
  4. Similar software Chrome, Java, Flash, etc.
  5. One computer displays RSS with Pics - no problem.
  6. The other computer displays a white screen. It's driving me nuts.
Thanks in advance for any input....

Samlip Motors,

Can you verify that the RSS Gadget placeholder is set to play on both displays?

Yes, just checked.  Both displays.

I've tried the check for "All Displays" and selecting each display.

It's not a problem with RiseVision.  I know it's a problem with the computer, just not sure where to start to repair it.

Samlip Motors,

Can you tell me which presentation in the schedule is not displaying correctly? I'd like to see if I can reproduce this locally so I can create a bug report.

In addition, you may try uninstalling any other Chrome applications/extensions other than Rise Vision Chrome App Player, or uninstalling Chrome altogether and reinstalling.

Update, when trying to reinstall Chrome, noticed the default log-in does not have admin priv.  I'll update soon, once I change this.

Well no joy, logged in as local Admin, re-installed Google Chrome, reinstalled the player.  Could this be a java issue, or Flash issue??

I may resort to a drastic step one day and swap the computer out.  Must be an issue with the software on that PC.

Samlip,

I've added a test display to your schedule to see if I am able to recreate any bugs. I am seeing all content here. I think you may have a problem with your media player as you've suggested. It's virtually impossible for me to pinpoint exactly what's going on, but you may be able to get some more information by running Chrome Dev Tools and looking for any errors on the network panel.

Good luck, and let me know if you come to any sort of conclusion!

Hello again... I may have found something with the DEV Tool.  I see an address for facebook when trying to access that RSS feed.  Our Company firewall blocks Facebook, just not sure how the other computer is getting past this to display the feed.

Samlip,

Is it possible you have a firewall or some sort of filtering enabled on that media player that is not active on the other media player?

YES, issue resolved.  Thank you Blake!  Reviewed Cisco Firewall policies and found the issue.  Thank you!
