Hi, We have many displays just displaying a white screen.   I've tried various things:  If I have an empty schedule (with no play list) then I get the "A Presentation has not been assigned to the Schedule" although when I add a presentation all I get is a blank white screen, no errors as such.  It seems to be occurring on several displays, some with proxy some without proxy, all of the screens were working previously.  We're Typically using Ubuntu Trusty 14.04.

Hi,
I have the same problem for 2 hour. All internet content (web page widget, rss feed) is ok but no image, vidéo ...
I'm using chrome OS and Rise player app. I tried different network, erase cache from app..After clearing the cache in app, I note that no documents (image, video ) is stored in cache after. I deleted the application on Chrome and reinstalled. Now the images are recovered but no mp4 video.

Hi Alan,
Thank you for your answer. After restarting screens, videos work now but no picture appears on the screen . RSS ok , OK widget web page , the date and time widget OK. I tried to clear cache, it's the same issue. No image is download in cache.

I have been experiencing a similar issue with White Screens on some of my displays. I am using Amazon Fire Sticks with My Rise Player. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have pulled one of the affected fire sticks and plugged it in to a location that has a working fire stick and it still white screens. I did a factory restore on a fire stick and reinstalled the app. Still won't show the presentation. What else can I try?

Sorry just another information. To try to solve my image issue, i uninstalled rise chrome app and install again. After that, video don't work again. Message in place holder "there was un problem playing that video. it could be that we don't support that format or it is not encoded correctly" :-/ And too, no image appears. Only web content (web page gadget, rss and time date ...)

Yannick, can you shoot me an email at support@risevision.com confirming your Company ID and Display ID showing these problems? Unfortunately, we are unable to replicate the problems you've reported.

Thanks!

Alan,
I was going to write you again. I finally succeeds. I was not completely uninstalled the application, but force deleted all terminal data on chromebit from the Google admin console. Sorry for the wrong information. It was not enough he seems . After removing and reinstalling completely app , it works properly again .
I am a little worried because this method works well on my test platform but I have several screens in shops and my method requires re-enter the ID and remotely is not possible :-/

If your using video on the Amazon Fire tv sticks then this is an issue with Amazons webview that came with the latest update. We have no timeline on when it will be fixed because there is really nothing we can do to fix it. It's an Amazon issue. We know that videos will play for sometime but will eventually stop. Again it's amazons latest update that is bad. If your using the image widget I would consider deleting the images and reloading them in the presentation. Rise did a rollback on an update and it could have affected the image widget on your presentation. We had 8 devices go blank this morning and had to reload them by clearing the cache.
