When I edit HTML, my displays settings go away.

Hopefully someone can replicate this bug. I have my presentation set up with certain gadgets only set to appear on certain displays. HOWEVER, when I go into the HTML side of my presentation and edit something like font size on one of my text gadgets, every single gadget on my presentation is suddenly set to appear on "0" displays. I have absolutely no idea why this is happening when I'm not even touching these settings. One thing I do notice is that gadgets that are set to appear on "All Displays" remain so, but gadgets that are set to only appear on certain displays show up as "0 Displays" when I save. Any ideas? Anyone able to replicate this? It is very frustrating to have to reset all these Display settings when I need to edit the HTML directly...

EDIT: I'm doing some testing and I just found that I don't even have to edit the HTML, if I just "click" the HTML tab and click back to the Design tab I lose any custom gadget display settings...

Spencer,

I can't say that I have seen that one myself. Just to I know the process you're going through, are you editing the HTML of the main Presentation, or for just the Text Item's HTML option?

Thanks.

Spencer,

I was able to replicate this and have logged a bug which you can track here.

Thanks for finding this!

Yes! Ok good, I was really worried it was going to be something isolated that I'd need to figure out or work around. Thanks!

I see now that it says the bug has been fixed. How soon will I be able to see that in my editor?

It will be included in the next release that we make available. We don't have a date of release for it yet unfortunately..

I created a copy called TEST.
From the URL, id=29dde835-f099-4aeb-a5c6-e3d48f9c207d?cid=335f343a-0dbe-4dbb-b830-2866f8501e8d if that helps.

In this presentation, I set the width and height to 100% manually in the HTML. Then I put in all of my scheduling. It works great and everything saves correctly, unless I ever go to the HTML tab.

If you go to the HTML tab and come back to Design, all of the distributions have been set to All Displays. (None of them are set to All Displays originally.) The scheduling information and everything else is not effected.

Jillian,

Can you tell me, are you editing this presentation using editor.risevision.com or rva.risevision.com?

Following your instructions, I have been unable to recreate this issue in either, so I may not be following correctly.

I am in the design view of your presentation. I schedule an image to display on Monday from 9am-5pm, I go to the HTML view and change "body style="width:100%;height:100%". Now when I go back to the Design view, you're saying that the custom scheduling is removed and all images are set to appear always.

Is this correct?

I'm using rva.risevision.com.

The scheduling is unchanged, but the distribution is being reset to All Displays (whereas I had them set to only a certain few of the displays).

To reproduce the issue, you should not even need to edit the presentation. Just switching to the HTML tab and back does it for me. (I only included the information about the "fluid" style in case it's part of the problem.)

Thanks Jill,

I have confirmed this issue and logged a defect here. I did check for this defect at editor.risevision.com and it is not affecting the new app. For the time being, I would suggest editing your presentation over there.
