WebHooks for Schedules and/or other resources

So I'm relatively new here and have only looked through the API docs a little bit to see if this could be a potential replacement for an existing solution we've built.

I'm pretty sure this functionality doesn't exist yet (also someone in the chat also told me directly that it didn't).  I was thinking that I'd like to be have a webhook sent out with the presentation information as soon as a schedule made it active.  This could either be a schedule option for a particular instance, or a presentation option which set it for all schedules.

As I thought about it, it seemed to me that this would require some sort of worker or potentially long-running timeout operation, which could be a pretty big change and could have some unforeseen platform impacts.  I could be wrong about that, still a newb here, but then I had another thought which would probably be easier to implement.

If you could setup webhooks for each resource operation (add, delete, patch), you could send them to a another service which had a worker that separately scheduled and sent out the presentation webhooks when they became active.

This also be useful since you could setup your worker to send the presentation webhooks with either a delay, or in advance, of the actual presentation schedule.  I'm sure there are a bunch of other applications that could make use of webhooks for the other resource objects as well.

Anyways, let me know if anyone here has ever attempted such a thing and what you think it would take to implement it, if it has wider appeal I'd be more than willing to help make it a part of the core platform.

I haven't seen this done, but it's possible that someone in our community has!

Let us know if you make any progress.

Hi Shawn, this isn't something that we can consider at this time. But thanks for the suggestion!
