We have a white screen problem.

I have searched for solutions and there have not been any to fix our issue. We have upgraded to the new rise player and it was working great with our presentations that run a google slide presentation. That lasted a day. Over night, our chromeboxes went offline and we have not been able to get them back up since. Now, our presentations preview properly, but we cannot get it to the display, all we get is a white screen. Here is a link to the preview: http://preview.risevision.com/Viewer.html?type=presentation&id=3804969a-2e12-4885-a429-637547948...  It makes no sense that it would work great for a day and then have all of these troubles the next. Any suggestions would be great!

Curt,

The Google Doc in question is not shared publicly. You'll need to "Share with everyone with link" in order to view it on Rise Player.

Curt,

I'm still seeing that this is not public. We have instructions for sharing a google spreadsheet here, the process is the same for sheets and docs.

I think we have a default setting issue on our google slides. When we publish the presentation, there is a box that requires viewers to log in. I don't think that should affect our internal viewing, but it will affect public viewing. I can share it with you if that will work.

Curt,

I have requested access to the slides.

Curt,

This is definitely do to the privacy settings on this document. It needs to be published to the web, and viewable by anyone with the link (under sharing settings). Right now, in order to view it, it requires someone on your domain to be logged into whatever browser or player is displaying the content.

I verified this by creating a copy of your presentation, and a copy of your google slides. I set the permissions of the google slides to public (anyone with link) and published to the web. I used the embed code from the copy of the google slides presentation, published the presentation, and in an incognito window viewed the preview of the presentation. It appears.

We have it published to the web and the presentation is shared with the user ID that is logged into the chromebox. As I mentioned before, it ran perfectly this past Monday with no glitches, even the timed scheduled ran correctly. We came in the next day and the chromeboxes logged off in the evening for some reason, and we have the white screen when trying to run the presentation.

Blake,

I now opened up one of the displays today and now we have a different player app version: RisePlayerPackagedApp 15.11.20.7944. Was there an update? The other chromebox went offline over the weekend, not sure why. We are revisiting the admin network settings to see if we missed anything and to see if we can eliminate the "login" requirement of our presentation. Any thoughts?
