  • Not a Problem
I have tried everything I can think of.  I uploaded my video to YouTube and was able to see it play in the Preview screen but my display remains a plain white screen.  I also uploaded the video file to the Rise Vision Storage but was unable to do anything with it from there.

Will someone please help me diagnose this problem.  Getting my video content to be displayed would solve a number of problems for me.  Thanks!

Mike,

You will need to have the video converted to .webm format, then uploaded to storage. At that point you will display the video in your presentation using the HTML5 Video Widget.

Do you happen to know of a quick, easy, and free way to do this for video files that can be up to 2 or 3 GB?

Mike, there are a lot of resources out there to convert to webm. One of the more popular choices on this community is Miro.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Video Problems STILL.

In my quest to get video to play on my display, I am at a complete loss.  Here’s what I have and what I have tried so far:

I have a video that I created and uploaded to YouTube, Google Drive and the Rise Vision Storage.  In the Rise Vision Storage, I have the .mp4 and .webm versions of the same video.

Here is what I have done and the results:

In the presentation placeholder, right-click→ Properties→ Add

Video: inserted link to .mp4 from Storage and link to .webm from Storage, neither worked

HTML: Used embed code from YouTube.  Blank video box showed on display with “Could Not Load Plugin” message.

HTML 5 Video Widget: Used .webm link from Storage. Video played perfectly in the preview, but nothing on the display.

Any suggestions?

Using a Raspberry Pi as my player.

I have same problem with Mike, but I'm using Android. Then any suggestion?
I tried add HTML5 video widget in my placeholder, and set .webm file from my rise vision storage, I tried this at Android Kit kat and also at Lollipop, both were didn't work.

You will need the newest updated version of My Rise Player v3.2 which came out yesturday. With the new widgets, we had to change the the cache server in order for them to run. Also you might try the android video player as well. Thanks
