Hi I need help. Recently I added a video to my presentations using the new video widget I am able to see the video when I saved the presentation and click preview. But when I send it to show in the display I never see the video on any of the chosen displays. Do you guy have any ideas what I am missing?

Hi Adrian,

Depending on the size of the video(s) you may have to give it enough time to download.  Other than that, what type of media player is this - ie operating system, Chrome version and what player (Rise Chrome App or not)?  You can find the Chrome version and Player at the bottom of the page for your particular display.

We are using a media player running Windows 7 and the presentations are running on Rise Chrome app.

The video is on only 1.27 minutes and 168 mb in size I uploaded it to the Rise vision storage.

Adrian,

Depending on the connection speed, there can be a delay while the entire video is downloaded to the player.  There are a few things you may want to check:  verify that the Chrome browser and Rise Player app are the latest versions.  What are the specs on the Windows 7 system, because if it is underpowered for the content, there can be issues?  Regarding videos, try to ensure that the video resolution isn't larger than the placeholder.  Scaling the video down (or up) adds additional work for the hardware.

Thanks,

Matthew
