Hi,

I have this video item problem again. I was updating some videos, and all of the sudden it does not load. I thought it was being downloaded, but waiting over an hour and it not loading.

I have tried:
  • Clearing the list and putting the videos back into the placeholder
  • Previewing before publish, it works BUT when use teamview to log back into the station in different location, it does not load.
  • Everything other placeholders work (weather, RSS feed, clock, etc...)
  • Deleted all the old videos and upload a new set back on
  • WebM encoding
  • Same presentation and schedule was push to one of the system locally, and it works, but when push to an off-site location it does not load (just the video placeholder)

Another symptom that I notice, is presentation in the same schedule does not rotate at all. I have setup that 2 presentation in the schedule suppose to rotate one after another in in 15 minutes interval, but it just stuck at the 2nd presentation and not rotate back to the 1st presentation. I have set the presentation to change when "video clips unitl finish", but the video clips are not loading.

Here are the links to the presentations:

See if anyone know what is going on and a solution to solve this problem. THanks thanks,.

Thanks HSuarez,

I had try that also, it doesn't work. It was "downloading" for over an hr. The video source i have check, it should be fine. i have total of 5 system offsite, and 2 is working and others are giving me this problem.

Hi Ben,
I have a schedule with the presentations listed earlier scheduled and was not able to replicate the issue.

This sounds like a network related issue regarding the items not downloading - especially with the last point in the original post (Same presentation and schedule was push to one of the system locally, and it works, but when push to an off-site location it does not load (just the video placeholder)). Are you able to check connectivity to the box, also verify access to the resources listed under the Create A Display page

I have also noticed that they are on the Rise Chrome App - we also have the Rise Windows Player which you can download here. Note on that page the status of the CAP development so I would encourage trying the Rise Windows Player and testing it out with a Video Widget. If you can first uninstall the Rise Chrome App Player and try running a Display on the new Rise Windows Player and let me know how you go! Also, what Windows version are you currently using?

Thanks
Hannah

Hi Hannah,

I have updated the remote locations machine. They seem to work on the windows rise player. I guess it solved the video problem.

But another problem had occur. I have setup 4 stations, and there is 1 stations that asked me about proxy server and ports and the message is telling me that it can't connect to the internet. But the system is connected to the internet, cause I remotely log into the system through internet to do all these things.

I have bypass certain ports already that i read in the forum. but it still gives me that screen.

the other 3 stations, just went through the installation without having that screen. You know what i need to do?

Hi Ben,
It may have been an intermittent issue while you were installing. Are you able to try again? Also which Windows OS version are you on?
If this persists, please email support@risevision.com with your DisplayID.

Thanks
Hannah
