Hi TE Signs,
To confirm, are you currently using the latest installer.exe that is available from https://help.risevision.com/user/crea... ?

If not, I would recommend using the link from this page to upgrade. If it is on the latest .exe, it would be good to arrange a session to look into this further. Please contact support@risevision.com referencing this thread and we will go from there.

Thanks,
Hannah

I downloaded it from the Displays page option 'download player'. Is that the same one as the one you posted?

TE Signs,

This is likely a problem with the Windows install on the system. You're going to want to verify the system fileset. Open up the run dialog in windows, and type cmd, right click Command Prompt and select "Run as administrator". In the command prompt type sfc /scannow. There may be errors generated in the.log file, but these shouldn't matter. After the process runs, try opening up the installer again.

Before I do this I think I should mention this is a vista machine. Does that matter?

We do not support Windows Vista and I definitely suggest upgrading the OS.

So is this the reason for the error?

Hi there,

We don't support Windows Vista for the latest Rise Windows Player. I recommend upgrading Windows, and trying again with the installer.

More details are on https://help.risevision.com/user/crea... - We recommend upgrading all the way to Windows 10.

If you still see the error message after the upgrade, let us know.

Thanks!

Hannah
