Updating Player on Android to 4.x without opening Firewall to outside requests

We have some players that are on the network of a rather large corporation. Their network allows the Players to initiate requests to the servers to request the media to be displayed.

But we now need to update the software on the Player  to the current 4.1.3 The problem is that when Cenique tries to initiate the update, it appears offline to them.

The FAQ suggests making sure that the ports TCP 80,443 Network 9494, 9449 are open to outside requests. I was hoping that there is an alternate way to update this Player(on Android) without requiring this additional port opening. Is there a way for the current Player to initiate the request?

Hi there Paul!

You are referring to Cenique's FAQ right? Our Display Help page only lists the sites that we need open on 80 and 443.

I'll make Cenique's support team aware of this question so they can get it answered.

Playing worked fine.
The additional ports were only to update the Player to the newest 4.1.x The info is at https://cenique1.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204988489-If-we-have-a-firewall-which-network-ports-need-to-be-open- 
They got back to me and said that the update could only be done from their server.

I assumed the software had to come from their server, but had hoped that the Player could initiate the interaction since that is already allowed by the Network

Currently the only process for upgrading the Cenique Android Rise Player app, is to initiate the install from our server. The ports and URLs listed in the FAQ allow a connection between your Cenique media player and our server.
