Please update the Twitter gadget to use Twitter's advanced search. The added control and flexibility would be amazingly useful. Thank you.

Hi!  Thanks for posting this idea.  It will be interesting to see how many others are interested in this expanded functionality.   Right now you can put custom queries in the twitter widget - is there something specific you are looking for?  Or are you looking for a friendlier GUI so you can select an advanced search and it automatically puts the query in for you?  Or something else?

Thank you for your reply, Ray. I'm specifically interested in the sections "these hashtags," "from these accounts," "to these accounts," and "mentioning these accounts." Plural is important. The GUI doesn't matter to me as long as the "Twitter Query" field accepts nomenclature for a advanced searches. I'm referring to the Rise Vision Twitter content gadget/widget thing located in the store.

Hi - I haven't gone completely crazy trying all kinds of things, but you can do some of what you are stating here today.

Lets say I wanted to see all tweets that contain the #digitalsignage and I want to see all tweets coming from the NFL.  I could put my query in there that says: #digitalsignage OR from:NFL   and both of those would show up.   Let's say I didn't want to see any tweets that mentioned the Oakland Raiders - I could create a query like: from:NFL -Raiders

Check out this atricle here in the community - it's about how to set up a twitter connection, but at the bottom, it gives some of the query options and you can play with stringing them together to get the results you want.

That's exactly what I wanted, but how would I have located that or even known such information existed? The content gadget/widget makes no reference to any guide or documentation. I request that documentation, or links to existing documentation, be referenced within the widget/gadget to assist those wanting to adopt and use the Rise Vision platform.

Nate,

I've put a request into our backlog of projects to provide an article on the Twitter gadget.

Thank you! If the same could be done for other gadgets, that'd be great too! Even if it's just a placeholder or a link to a wiki article.

Hi Nate,

A lot of our widgets and gadgets have walkthrough videos in their product listings here https://store.risevision.com/products/?cat=Content

And here is the link to the Twitter article: https://community.risevision.com/rise_vision_inc/topics/how-to-create-a-social-connection-and-set-up...

Thanks,
Shea
