Recently I decided to turn my Intel nuc machine into a digital signage device. I installed ubuntu 14.04 lts, navigated to installers location and ran the following command via terminal: chmod +× installer-lnx-64.sh ./installer-lnx-64.sh.

I have also attempted with sudo.

Nothing happens afterwards. Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong.

Hello Frederick,

Thanks for posting on our Community! I apologize you're having trouble with this. It looks like you might be running the commands as one string, instead of individually.

To install, you would open Terminal in Ubuntu, then issue the following commands. After each one, press enter/return on your keyboard.

cd Downloads
chmod +x installer-lnx-64.sh
./installer-lnx-64.sh

The third command will unpack the installer and begin installation. sudo isn't needed to install.

Please try that as listed above, with each line being it's own command issued in Terminal and let us know if you have any additional questions.

Regards,
Mike Thomas
