Hi,

I have the latest version of riseplayer running on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on an Intel NUC5CPYH.

Im finding the player is continuously crashing on startup - there is an error log in the rvplayer directory:

anyone had experience with these same symptoms?

Alex.

Alex,

I reached out to you via email in the hopes to set up a remote connection to look at this issue, and can I ask you to run the latest installer from https://help.risevision.com/user/create-a-display on your Display and let me know how it works out? We've made some logging improvements that should assist us in determining the error.

Thanks!

Hi Robb,  This morning (AEST) i checked the display, still experiencing the same issues.

I deleted all files again in the cache folder, this seemed to fix the player yesterday and it would run successfully again.  Yesterdaym As soon as i forced a quit of the riseplayer software or triggered one from the console the player would crash on start (grey screen with spinning circle).

This morning, the player was happy after a restart.  This was with the same version of the player as used yesterday.

I have also installed the new player today happy to talk further if you need to check it out!

Thanks!

Alex
