I am expanding my player systems and moving up from Raspberry Pi to retired desktop computers and was wondering a few things.

1. Since these are 64 bit computers, can I use 64bit Ubuntu or do I need to use the 32bit version as the "optimazation directions list 32bits Ubuntu 14.04?

2. Since these are mostly set it and forget it system would the 64bit Ubuntu Server version work and better than the 64bit Desktop version of Ubuntu?

I am used to using either version (desktop or server) so it really doesn't matter to me...

Hi Jacob,

Currently we only have the 32-bit version of the Linux Player.  You could use the Chrome App Player on the 64-bit version of Linux if desired.  We haven't tested the Server version of Ubuntu, just the Desktop version.
