two different schedules associated to the same display

I need to make sure to show one presentation from 830 to 930, and then the rest of the day, I would like to show the normal schedule. I thought of creating 2 schedules but one from 830 to 930 and another one from 930 to 530pm. The problem is that I can't select the same display for two different schedules. The solution I found is two modify the timing in each presentation, so I would leave presentation 1 from 830 to 930, and all the rest from 930 onward. It works, yes, but it would be quicker to be able to create several schedules, as I had to edit each presentation timing, which takes time, and for sure I will have to change it back because my managers change this all the time..;). What do you think? Is there a more clever way of doing this?

Hi Diego,

You can add multiple Presentations to a Schedule. You can then set each Presentation to play at a particular time within that Schedule.

Thanks!

Hi Neal, thanks for your fast reply. My problem is that I want to add the same display to multiple schedules, making sure they don't overlap.
thanks

Diego,

Displays are limited to a single Schedule at a time. It is this reason why multiple Presentations can be added to a Schedule.

You can read more about it in the Schedule help page.

Thanks.

Neal, the link above is broken. Where has the Schedule help page been moved to now?

Blake, thank you for pointing me to the updated content. Is there better documentation to guide me or is this scenario still unsupported for a single display?
  • M-F 24x7 Show presentation A
  • Su From 12:01AM-9:45AM Play Presentation B
  • Su From 10:00AM - 11:30AM Play Presentation C
  • Su From 11:45 - 2:00PM Play Presentation D

William,

I don't see any reason why that would not work. You will actually want to set them up like this;

  • Monday 12:00AM - Friday 12:00AM Presentation A
  • Sunday 12:00AM - 9:45AM Presentation B
  • Sunday 9:45AM - 11:30AM Presentation C
  • Sunday 11:30AM - 2:00PM Presentation D
Setting it up this way will allow the presentations to switch immediately at the desired time, instead of having 15 minutes of blank screen.

I run into an issue (cannot assign more than one schedule to a display) when trying to assign more than one schedule to the display. Is this something I am looking at wrong?
