I am trying to download the player program.  As soon as I get to the screen, it tells me something about a Chrome APP.  So I clicked on that, nothing is happening that I can see.  In the past, when I clicked on install player, it did.  Now nothing happens.  I need that program to run the computer to get stuff from Rise.  So how can I do it?

Dick,

Which page are you trying to download it from?

ie this is what I see when I click on the button to get the Chrome App Player from Chrome browser:

Finally got it to work as you displayed it in your response.  I used to do a download of some sort to get the player.  I hope this new process  will automatically start the player when I boot the computer.  Will it?

BTW, your suggestion late last week to add content a little at a time to a spreadsheet helped me identify the piece of information that was causing the display to show up too wide.  Thanks for the suggestion.  It solved my problem!

Hi Dick, if you are not already using Chrome App player on other machines, then the process is a little different than for the native Player.

I believe you are using Windows, so this Help page has some things you should do to configure it: https://help.risevision.com/user/player/chrome-app/chrome-player-windows?cid=f114ad26-949d-44b4-87e9...

Notably, with the Chrome App player, at the time being, it does not reboot per the scheduled reboot setting on the displays page.  You would have to configure the machine to reboot nightly on the OS/machine itself.

Before you install, you should get the display ID of the display you created and be ready to paste that ID in when prompted during the installation.  Hope that helps and I am happy that you were able to identify the problem piece that was causing the previous issue.  What was it if I may ask ?
