Trouble Communicating with Player

I am having trouble communicating with our media player.   I have sent to it a new presentation, but it is not accepting it.   I also have a red dot near it.     Ive tried to reboot it remotely but no response.   We will try to repower it but this issue seems to keep happening.     I am prepared to send it a presentation using the new version.  Not sure if that is what is causing the problem.

HI Anastasia,

That red dot means that the Player cannot communicate with Rise Vision, and therefore wouldn't show any updates to content, respond to any remote reboots or restarts.

Typically in these cases, it can mean that the network is blocking the Display from communicating with our platform. I would suggest asking your IT Team to take a look at our firewall rules listed here: https://help.risevision.com/user/create-a-display and see if there is anything missing that needs to be whitelisted.

Also, you should make sure that the network connection to this Display is reliable and always running. This way the Display won't lose it's connection.
