tree video instead of weather

We have been running one of the new weather gadgets on a text presentation for a new customer.  Today we turned on the screen attached to the player and saw the weather gadget had message stating "this gadget is not authorized" ...or something like that.  I went to the Rise interface and saw the gadget said it was expired.  I went to "buy" the gadget...which was not an intuitive process, only to find the cost that I had to "buy" was $0.  ...which was nice...but odd to have to go through the entire process of for no charge.  However, the real strange thing is that once I "bought" it and updated the display, what used to be the weather gadget became a video of grass and what appeared to be a tree.  I just happened to take pictures a few days ago so I have before and after pics here so you can see what I mean.

Tony,

Purchasing a metered subscription product like a Widget will cost 0 dollars now, but after 30 days, you will get billed for the monthly charge of using that Widget on as many Displays as you had it on.

For example if you use it on 3 Displays, and it costs 5 bucks per Display, you will be charged 15 bucks.

In regards to just showing the background, can you let me know which Widget you are using? I'd like to get the Developer into this conversation to see if they are aware of any issues with their Widget.

Thanks!

Thanks Robb.  That makes sense on the billing.  The background thing is odd to say the least.  I had to hurry up and leave the office so I shut down the PC, but what was showing  was actual video that you see at the bottom.  The grass was waving, shadows from the tree branches showing.  When I got home and pulled up the preview it still said the widget was unauthorized, but inside the interface it said "subscribed".   The widget is "3 Day Forecast by Data Call".

Greetings from Data Call,
We apologize for the inconvenience, I am looking into this bug today and would like to know if the weather widget is still showing the video and not weather data.

Hi Robb,
I am not sure if Tony can recreate the bug being he has a current subscription, however, I do know exactly where the bug resides and to the exact line of code. A new feature on the settings page that forces a single refresh on the presentation is currently rolled into our next revision. Our planned rollout of this revision is the first part of next week. Will this be acceptable, otherwise I can ad hoc the planned release of this feature only.

Tony, are you still having the issue?

If so, I think we need to get it fixed ASAP, otherwise, I think we are good to wait to deploy with the next version. Thanks!

Robb,  Sorry it took so long.  ..been slammed and out of the office a ton.  Yes, the 1st reboot after it happened fixed it.  Easy fix...it was just an odd sight at first not knowing what it was or where it came from.  I thought maybe I was somehow drawing from someone else's library.  ...we're good.  Thanks.
