Timing of widgets does not sync

I have a presentation that essentially is meant to display as a slideshow. I have a bunch of different widgets set to play in sync so that it flips through photos and graphics with the proper text accompanying. I think I matched up the timing perfectly and when the presentation starts, it plays normally. When I leave it open for a while in the preview it gradually falls out of sync and then there's different photos on top of each other and they don't display with the right heading either. If anyone knows what might be causing that it'd be a huge help. Thanks.

I should also add that I think it has something to do with the photo album widget. That seems to make the timing go off but I can't find another way to have it easily cycle through images.

NECC,

Which version of Player are you using? Native Player, or the Rise Player Chrome extension?

I am having a similar issue, but I am still testing. I have a video playing with YouTube Widget and using the Image Widget to have photos to match the video and content. They match when I watch the first few run through, but when i left for lunch and came back they were all over the place. It wasn't matching time.

Also when I converted the video minutes into seconds for the image widget, it was off. Like if the video is 1 minute 30 seconds and I put in 90 seconds it would switch the picture late. I had to go through and guess seconds and it was always less then what the video was. I don't know if that had something to do with it.

Also, it's on an older laptop as a temporary use since we just started trying this out so maybe that is the problem?

Thanks!

I have only been testing with this a few weeks so I am still kind of new to the system.

Fireside,

I have not been making anything with videos lately, so I do not know for sure as Rise Vision made some improvements to solve similar problems you are facing now. But I would do this: download YouTube videos and put the in your storage, set both video and image widget items to the identical time, and make sure that each video always starts from the beginning by NOT selecting 'Resume Playing from Last Position.'

This is the template I made some time ago and it was always playing videos and images in perfect synchrony: http://preview.risevision.com/?type=presentation&id=8b3c78bc-7775-440a-8b91-6312f48edbcf&sho...

Maybe I just got lucky with it. Later testing results were not that good, but then again, Rise Vision issued an update that was supposed to take care of this.

UPDATE: OK, see something funny is going on with the video widget, which was not there before. Apparently, the video widget update affected my presentation and it is acting funny now. I swear it was not like that. Disregard what I said. I am gonna have to look at it.

I might have resolved this. Not 100% sure, but one of my timings were off and was setting all the others off. :)
