After a scheduled reboot of RV Player, we get an error stating, "This webpage is not available," and the display would show that it was offline however I was able to send remote computer reboots and RV player reboots.  It would eventually resolve itself but it took 12 hours the first time and 14 hours the second.  I have turned off scheduled reboots at this time.    The RV player is running on a  Raspberry Pi using the native player.

Rex,

It's likely that your media player is not connecting to the network before requesting the presentation. Have you tried closing and reopening the presentation?

Please note the Raspberry Pi Player is no longer supported by Rise Vision.

Hi,
I am having the same problem, but I am using Raspi 2 running Ubuntu. Network is using wifi and it is fine where I can connect remotely via ssh.   I have also change the google email password. Rise Vision Displays shows that it was active when I last changed the password.Tried rebooting a few times but the situation is the same.

Questions :
1. Do I need to restart the display? How do I restart the display remotely via ssh?
2. Do I need to change the new gmail password in the rise display player? How can I do it via ssh?

Thanks in advance

Amin,

You could try restarting this display. I am unsure of rebooting over ssh, that would be something you would need to check Ubuntu's documentation on.
You should not need to change any gmail passwords on the player.

After a few days it recovers itself. Maybe there is something to do with the network that I am connecting with. I am using adsl and after restarting the adsl modem and restarting the player it works fine. Phew... thought something to do with the configuration... thanks anyway Blake...

Surau,

I'm glad you were able to come to a solution!
