Ok I make a presentation and use the Text module, I test it on computer monitor , run presentation and looks fine. But when I send to menu board some items aren't aligned any ideas?

Menuboard image notice the "2 bagels" price moved over.

Hi Peter,
Can you please send through the presentation? I think the alignment issue may be from the spreadsheet itself or the widget. Can I also confirm that you are on the new Spreadsheet Widget rather than gadget? Thanks,
Hannah

Ok this is a quick observation I used the widget and is still looks terrible actually worse to work with because tab does not work and difficult to see spacing. CHeck this http://preview.risevision.com/Viewer.html?type=presentation&id=9d25e1f2-1729-4e44-ba83-ae7d190aa...  the ones with W are the widget. I haven't tried on menu board yet but will see tomorrow.

Hi Peter,
This idea just came to me - another alternative is to using HTML to divide the content into cells since it looks like they are being manually spaced. For example, try a HTML table generator http://www.tablesgenerator.com/html_t... and then copying/pasting the code in the HTML Widget to see how it looks. Thanks!

Great Idea, that works as a fix for now. Thanks

We are having a similar issue with a custom widget on players running Chrome 46 only. Are you by any chance running your player on a Chromebox with that version on it?

Yes I am using chrome, however it looks fine on my Chrome desktop but if I play it through my phone you can see the issue.

Encountering a similar issue here today..

Seems to look fine in preview, but pushed to our device it's cutting off text.
I then tried the same presentation on a Ubuntu 14.04 device and it seems fine.

Issue persists after reboot on my Chromebit.

I just did some more testing on some boxes I have available.

Chromebit, Manged and halted at Chrome 46 has the issue

Chromebox, Managed and halted on Chrome 44 looks fine
Chromebox, Unmanaged and on Chrome 48 looks fine

I guess the only place I am seeing the issue on our end then is on the Chromebit (Chrome 46) device. Did not notice the problem yesterday with the same slides.

All,

I don't have any devices running Chrome 46 (and unfortunately I can't seem to find a download for that version), but I am not seeing this issue on Chrome 47. Given that 47.* is our currently recommended browser version, I would advise you to upgrade your versions. If you are able to replicate this issue on our currently supported Chrome Version, we'll take a look at what could be causing it.

Thanks!

Thanks for the report Blake.. I have no problem updating it on our end and I'll report back. I've been just keeping them all as far behind as possible as somewhere in my mind I was thinking you wanted Chrome 44. Obviously new systems come with newer versions, so I just leave them where they are. Is there a good place to keep up to date on what is your "currently supported version"?

Wendi,

We update the version here https://help.risevision.com/user/create-a-display under Chrome OS. We generally try to stay one release behind current, which gives us plenty of time to notice and work through bugs without getting blindsided. This isn't always the case, so I would definitely check the Create a Display docs before upgrading!

Thanks Blake.. links are tending to change on me pretty quickly here lately. I let the Chromebit update to Chrome 47 by updating in Device Management. Our text alignment is no longer an issue here..
