I am new to Rise Vision. I am using the Rise Vision storage to store 3 images for my presentation. Yesterday, they were working fine - today, they do not appear on my display. They do however show up in my preview. My other content includes 2 html widgets, and a google spreadsheet widget - these are loading fine. Here is a link to my preview - http://preview.risevision.com/?type=presentation&id=ae0efad9-1a9e-4b7d-99de-47f81ac6ac9c

Hi there Jack!

I just took a copy of your Presentation to play it over here and it plays fine.

Is it possible that something may have changed since yesterday that is causing this? Perhaps a network security or firewall change? Do the images appear after you restart the media player?

Hi Robb. I don't think anything has changed - that being said, yesterday afternoon there was a pop up on the display showing the SSID info. I didn't know how to disable, so I just turned the screen off until this morning. Maybe that has something to do with it. I've tried rebooting the player to no avail.

Could it be a result of poor wifi? The other widgets load, but maybe the images are too big?

Jack,

I had checked the size of them originally, and the size did not seem that large, however, on second glance, I notice that the resolution is quite large; roughly double the size of the Placeholder. I wonder if it is a combination of the wireless dropping, and the image not scaling correctly that is causing this. Can I ask you to upload new versions of those images at a lower resolution that is closer to the resolution of the Placeholder they are playing in?

Another thing I wanted to confirm, the Image Widget will check periodically to ensure that the image has loaded correctly, so in the case that it is down, it will check and reload it when it is available again.

Seeing the SSID info, is it possible that this device has been set up as a hotspot? Can that be disabled to see if that improves the wireless reliability?

Thanks!
