Storage selection issue

In my Android Video Widget i was once able to double click a video file from rise storage and it would put the link in the url spot. This has seemed to stop working. The double click just selects and unselects the video. I know that things have changed on the storage end of things so i was wondering if someone can look at it and see why i can no longer double click a video in storage. It was working but now its not. Thanks for the help. :)

William,

I was able to recreate this, so I am getting a bug logged. I will let you know when I have some further information.

Thanks!

Hi William,

You're right, the Selector may have stopped working in your Widget due to some recent (and not so recent) updates to Storage.

I'm wondering if you're using https://github.com/Rise-Vision/component-storage-selector in your code. If you are, can you please try to update to the latest version of the component (2.0.0) to see if it fixes the issue?

Basically, the URL for the Selector has changed. The new version should take care of that automatically, however if you're not using our component, let me know and I will provide instructions on how to update the URL manually.

Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Thanks!

Hey William,

Quick update on this issue. We identified a potential fix by redirecting to the new URL for Storage. However, when testing it with the Widget we realized that there's a domain check, and since the redirect changes the domain the result containing the selected File's URL is not accepted.

Long story short, the fix did not work. So, at this point we're back to the original suggestion of updating the component in the Widget itself. Let me know if you require any assistance with that.

Thanks!

What i have done was made a copy of your video widget and redone most of it to fit my needs. Im in the middle of testing it and so far everything is working correctly. Hopefully sometime next week i can release it. Thanks for all the help.

Sounds good.

Just to make sure you have the updated URL, in the settings.js code you should have something along the lines of:

angular.module("risevision.widget.common.storage-selector.config", [])
.value("STORAGE_MODAL", "https://apps.risevision.com/storage-selector.html#/?cid=");
which is the new URL for the selector.

Thanks!
