Spreadsheet Widget can't save

I am trying to replace my Spreadsheet Gadget with the new Widget.

When I change the refresh time from 5min to 1min, Save becomes inactive and I can't save (Also a bit upset I can't change it to 10seconds as I had it in the Gadget).

As it's a menu board and will change quickly if something is sold out, we need to be able to update much faster to ensure people in line see the change immediately.

Kray,

I'll bring this up to development and let you know what we come up with.

Kray,

I've looked at the situation to see why we have set up the refresh rates in this manner. We have an open issue with google here, which causes undesirable re-rendering of data when a refresh rate is set to less than 5 minutes.

When google addresses our bug, we will be able to update our widget accordingly.

Thanks for the update. Might want to put some kind of note there about this, took me 15mins of troubleshooting to figure out why it wouldn't let me save.

Kray,

If you click the question mark next to the scheduling option in the widget, there is a note that mentions refresh rates less than 5 minutes are not supported.

I would not have looked there (And I didn't). It was not apparent that the refresh time change was what was causing the save to grey out, hence taking so long to figure out what the problem was.

The question mark is generally used for providing additional information when it's not clear what is required for that area or field. It's very clear what is required here, a time in minutes.

For something like this, which is a limitation of the field, a small text block under the field is a more commonly used practice, and a better User Experience. Important items shouldn't be hidden.

My $0.05 (Since we got rid of the penny).
