Spreadsheet Gadget Slows Down

I have a spreadsheet gadget that auto scrolls and wherein it rotates between three different spreadsheets.  However, after running for awhile, the scroll appears to slow to a crawl.  I have the gadget set to rotate the pages at 40 sec., 40 sec., and 50 sec.  In development, this provided ample time for the data to scroll through.  However, when it slows down, it can't make it through one revolution.

The scroll can be limited by the amount of CPU and memory that are being used by other tasks.  If these resources are being used, then there's less available to be put towards the scrolling speeds.

If you're using Windows, you can use the Task Manager, or Perfmon to compare the CPU and memory at the start when the Presentation first begins, and compare it to a later time when the scrolling slows down.  For Linux, you can use the System Monitor.

Thanks.

I've been monitoring it for sometime.  The CPU ranges between 20-30%.  It is also showing physical memory 2021; cached 911; available 956; free 108.

In reference to the above, the scrolling is slowing down; however, there is no change in the CPU or physical memory.  Any other ideas of things to check?

What type of computer are you running this on?  I can see that you're using a Windows computer (reported on the Displays page).  Can you let us know the CPU, amount of RAM, what the video card is?

Thanks.

I don't have any Windows Displays similar to that.  I have a Linux device with similar specs and I don't notice any slowdown with that one.

I did notice that this Presentation is using the old Spreadsheet Gadget.  Have you tried using the Spreadsheet Widget that we released a short while back?

Thanks.
