Slide time accumulate delay

Hi,

I noticed that there is an increase in the time set for the slide . I created a placeholder and inserted two images by setting them at 10 seconds each . Clocking 5 reproductions I get 55 seconds instead of 50. Instead I get 50 seconds by setting 9 seconds duration . It ' a normal thing and of which you are aware or is it a problem?

Hi MontiDauni.com,

Do you have any transitions enabled?

Hi there MontiDauni.com,

I have a copy of your Presentation running here, and I have each image set to show for 5 seconds.

I've had it running for roughly 10 minutes, and everything shows for 5 seconds each.

I test it again and i obtain a 20 seconds slide setting 18seconds... Anyways it's not a big problem. I can easily solve it in this way :)

Thanks

I'm not sure what could be causing it. I actually still have your Presentation running here and it looks great. 5 seconds each image :).

Let us know if you figure it out!

I'm still testing my presentations (all of them, but use "Totem 2" for example). All image are setted up to 10 seconds... i start the presentation (both on preview or in Totem, it's the same).

I started to count on 3rd image.

3rd image: 0 second (start)
4th image: start around 11 second
5th image: start around 22 second
6th image: start around 33 second
7th image: start around 44 second
8th image: start around 55 second
etc etc

It means that all images last 11 second instead of 10.

I tought it was an hardware problem, but i test it trough preview (my pc is very powerful, with ssd, intel i7 etc etc) and the problem was still there

Thanks

MontiDauni.com,

Can you see what happens if you change the timing on all the images to 9 seconds? Will that work?

If i change the time to 9 seconds each one i have:

3rd image: 0 second (start)
4th image: start around 10 second
5th image: start around 20 second
6th image: start around 30 second
7th image: start around 40 second
8th image: start around 50 second

So it seems that 9 seconds last around 10 seconds.

So i tried to change the time to 5 seconds each one and i have:

3rd image: 0 second (start)
4th image: start around 5.5 second
5th image: start around 11 second
6th image: start around 16.5 second
7th image: start around 22 second
8th image: start around 27.5 second

I made all this test in preview.

It seems that everytime you have a delay of 10% regardless of wich duration do you choose.

If you test it do you have the same numbers? How can we fix it?

MontiDauni.com,

Can I ask which Presentation in your Company you are testing this with? I would like to make a exact duplicate to see if I can recreate this timing issue.

Thanks!

Apologies for the delay, but I took a copy of the Presentation that is playing in the Totem 2 Schedule, and from what I can see here, each image shows for 10 seconds, then moves to the next image, exactly as expected.

When I set some to 5 seconds, they show for 5 seconds, the others show for 10. If you are still seeing differently, I think this may be unique to your hardware, as it isn't something that I can recreate over here.

Thanks!

It's not an hardware problem, because i have the same issue in "preview mode", and i'm using a very powerful pc with Intel i7 and 8gb of ram. Each image shows for 11 seconds. I tought it was a chronometer problem but i test with 2 different one. Anyways, it's not a big problem. But i cannot understand why it happens only to me. If you want i can make a video of reproduction on my i7 (preview mode), can you give me an email where to send the video?

Yeah, I'm stumped on that one as well. I don't think you need to take the time to make a video, as I can't do much as I am not seeing the same problem.

If anyone else sees the problem, please let us know!
