I cannot display a page that is behind a paywall.  This worked up until a week ago - when I try to display a website that requires an account to access.

Hi there,

Rise Player never supported displaying authenticated web pages, you can read more on this topic in this thread:

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Shea

A partial workaround that I was able to use (I am hesitant to recommend it as I am not certain how stable a solution it is).

Anyway, if you launch your presentation in the chrome player and open the developer tools while the player is launching you can get the URL of the presentation that is being fed to the player. This you can open in the standard chrome browser (just like you would a preview) but unlike a preview it retains all of the scheduling elements of the presentation.

Then you just have to full screen the page and run it like a normal display. For some reason when you launch the display in this fashion it retains stored authentication for web-pages.

Again, I caution using this long term. I have been using it for slightly over a week now, and the page has crashed a handful of times (requiring a 'reload' in chrome). Otherwise it appears to be stable, but this is definitely a 'hack-y' workaround.
