I am using 'Rise Vision' in a touch screen device where people can interact with the unit. Is there any way to show a video after certain amount of time of no-interaction? Something like a screensaver?

There may be a couple of options for you.

If you're looking at doing a screensaver, I would suggest looking at this thread for a possible solution.

You may also consider doing your Presentation as a multi-page Presentation. You can find additional information here regarding that.

If you need anything further, please let us know

Thanks.

Is there no way to show a picture slide show or alternate presentation as a screen saver after a specified inactivity or timeout period?

We're using this as an interactive directory on a 47" vertical touch screen.

I installed Picasa and attempted to use the screen saver functionality feeding into the default windows screen saver from a specified album on Google+ account. But the screen saver refuses to show, or is not showing on top of the (z-index essentially) Rise Player from Chrome.

If I used a chrome extension or app would it work alongside Rise Player? Any experience with this?

Basically a guy is wanting to run advertisements on a screen saver and simultaneously have them displaying on the presentation when the screen saver is not active to draw people in.

Matthew,

At this time there is no functionality built directly into the Rise platform for screen savers. Please see this thread for information from a 3rd party developer that has had success on using screen savers for Rise.
