Setting up Subscriptions for Multiple Companies

What's the recommended way to setup many subscriptions for subcompanies?

We have deployed a handful of units now, and each unit is at a different client site (set up as a subcompany). We do this so that users can have access to their content at their company and for management administratively on our end.

I want to give the ability to play videos to all of our subcomapnies. So far, I've had to go in to "add" a video to some test presentation just so I can subscribe. Then I'm charged individually for each and every subcompany. Is there no better way to say "hey, let me cover their tab"?

Lets say we have 50 units in production - I get 50 charges for $1 each? If I add another widget, are the charges combined at least inside each company? This could get messy..

Wendi,

What you described is indeed what would happen: Each Sub Company would generate an invoice detailing all the Displays that used the Widget that subscription is for.

All of these subscriptions for Sub Companies can be managed by your Parent Company; so you can have a Widget Subscription for Sub Company B, C, D that they will never see invoices for, since only the Bill To Company would get the invoices

If you had 50 subscriptions, and each used the Widget on 1 Display, you would get 50 invoices, each for the charge of that one Display. If you add another Widget, then you will get a separate invoice for THAT Widget in THAT Company. Does that help clarify?

Hey Robb,

I can see all the subs under my main company so at least that list is helpful. We had a few subscriptions setup so I've seen the invoices only come to us. I setup 16 new subscriptions yesterday. I understand how it's working now, but certainly would be nice to just have one big invoice and charge instead of 20+ $1 charges we might see right now (more as we grow). Reconciling it on the company card at the end of the month won't be fun. Something to think about (in your spare time I know..) :)

Thanks!

Wendi,

Trust me, I hear you loud and clear :). If we do indeed make any changes like that, we will make everyone in the community aware.

Thanks!
