Quick Question. I Currently pay hosting on Blue host for an old website we had an continued to keep the hosting service. I wanted to attempt to Host media files to use on my Rise Presentation Until I determine if Ill stick with the Rise Storage option...

I am accessing file manager in the Cpanel. and uploading to a folder under the public file..... Saving and displaying Jpg and PNG files I have no problem i can "View" the image in a browser and pull the Url and place into my presentation and it displays (only testing with Presentation Viewer, havent published yet)

When I upload a Video File: .mp4 or .mov h.264 (short 15sec clips) it will not display. When in cpanel and I click on the "View" image it pulls it up in a web browser, but then it attempts to download the media file to my computer it will not show the content within the browser.

It also will not show when I point the URL from the opened browser to my presentation Video URL insert area. I save the presentation and attempt to View via presentation view link and it will not show in the preview.

Thoughts? Is there an issue with the file format, or settings within my hosting? I am still very green to web hosting etc and my buddy that is a programmer in which helps me out a good bit is unavailable for a call due to schedule for the next several days....

Any Help in regards to self hosting media files via bluehost would be greatly appreciate.

Cheers,
As Always I appreciate the Vast insight via the RV community

Mylife,

I'm very unfamiliar with Bluehost. You may contact their support and see if you need to change any permissions in order to those videos to be accessible via stream.

Blake thank you, might have found a work around... Just uploading images to my Word press sit account an storing them on the webpage and pulling URL link that way
