Screens show as disconnected, still showing correct content

I went to add a new screen yesterday.  It had been several months since I dared change anything, due to the problems with Rise Player.  Looks like that is fixed, but now I look at my screens and three of four show as disconnected, even though content is running that looks current.

Not sure what I did, however I had to enter screen numbers a couple times and this may have contributed to what is happening.  As I said, it has been a few months since I did any maintenance, except restarting screens that abruptly went to a login screen for no reason.

Dick,

is it possible that the heartbeat is being blocked, but all other elements of the Rise Player are working as expected? The best way to tell would be to publish a change to the content, and confirm that it updates on the Display. If it does, that would be my best bet. You can see all the appropriate sites to open up on your firewall here.

When you say "enter screen numbers a couple of times", do you mean you had to enter the Display ID? I'm not 100% sure what you are referring to.

Regarding going to a login screen, if these are Windows machines, one thing you may want to set up is auto login using the netplwiz trick outlined here.

Let me know how you make out!

I posted another note this morning.  I am finding my screens sitting at Ctrl-Alt-Del every morning.  Your suggestion apparently doesn't help.  How can I back this out?

Also, all screen showing up as a red heart, but content is being updated. One screen runs content in one window for a while, then nothing displays.  I matched it with a screen in the same building showing the same content, but this screen shows content constantly in all windows, while the first one does not.

Dick,

As stated in that other conversation: To remove it, you only need to go back into netplwiz and recheck the "Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer" check box.

The screen that does not show content, is it the lunchroom Display? I see it is still on a very old version of the Rise Vision Player. If that is indeed the Player, I would suggest upgrading it to the latest version of the Rise Vision Player, like all the others are on, to see if that corrects the issue.

Thanks!

The display you mentioned is no longer running Rise content.

Thank you.

Thanks for that clarification Dick. Can I ask the name of the Display that is having the content issue where it runs content in one window for a while, then nothing displays?
