Since it is necessary now to use the task manager to make a machine come back up after a scheduled reboot...then it seems it would stand to reason the task manager is doing the job anyway and the scheduled reboot should be set to none...correct?  This also leads to my next question which is, why doesn't the scheduled reboot function make the player come up anymore and is being worked or will that feature just go away allow the machine reboot to control this function?

tony,

Scheduled reboot is not needed for Windows, Linux, and OS X based media players. This is due to Chrome not being able to execute commands at a system level. The scheduled reboot feature still functions on Chrome OS devices.

It's not likely the users running Chrome App Player will be able to schedule reboots through the website anytime in the future.
