schedule order? It always has its preference to start with a specific presentation

My schedule has multiple presentations. No matter which one I move to the top of the schedule It always starts the schedule with a specific presentation in the list. How do I make it start on the one I put at the top? I've deleted the schedule, recreated a new schedule (different name). Took out the presentation and later re-added it. Nothing seems to help. Any suggestion is welcome.

Hi Sander,
I've already met this issue in the past.. Not sure it will work with your presentation but let me describe what i did to fix it :
In the shcedule, i just change the "duration" of the presentation. I unchecked the "Play until it done" for a real duration in seconds.
May be you can try this.
Best regards,

Hi Philippe,

Indeed, this is a working scenario. Apparently there is some logic behind it that determines (1) size of the presentation to load (2) time set to play it. I used your suggestion on a newly inserted presentation (simple black background, no fancy stuff) and put that on top of the playlist. Playing with the duration  finally resulted in a working scenario. Although this is a workaround, it still looks like that 'playing order' is not really 'playing order'...

Thanks Philippe for pointing me in this direction.

Rgds.

Sander,

The Player will always play whatever is available first when it starts up, or after the Schedule has been saved. For example if your first Presentation in the list has a large video, while the second Presentation in your list has a small image, it will start downloading that video, and show the image (and any subsequent Presentations in the Playlist) that are available until the video is ready. Once the video is downloaded, it will begin showing that Presentation.

Once all content has been downloaded to the Display, it will begin showing all the Presentations in the expected order.

Does that help clarify?

Dear Robb,

Thank you for the explanation. Indeed, the 'smallest' presentation determines the starting point.

Regards.
