RSS mixing content

I have an RSS running in my presentation but when our content editors make a new "news" rss things get all gobbled.  Titles get mixed up with different stories though out the rss feed.  Our work around is I re-save and publish the presentation.  Also, it refreshes at the designated re-boot time.  Please help.

Master Web,

Is this in a playlist that uses transitions?

Thanks for the quick response, Blake.  Yes there is a ROW transition (see attachment).  Would you advise to take off the transition?

I will but now there's an error with URL validation when I go to save .  I even went as far as starting from scratch and adding a new RSS widget but it says "RSS URL is invalid." even with your default news feed (see attached)

Master Web,

This was an issue that was actually fixed yesterday. I think your browser may have the old settings cached. You can fix this by clearing your browser cache.

Yep the cache did the trick!  :)

OK I have disabled the transition at the placeholder property level and also at the RSS level.  It will be a few days for me to assess the changes because I'm not the one who post stories/ rss feeds.  I'll chime back in to let you know if this does the trick.  Again, thanks for all your help... best support/ help out there!

I'm having the same issue with an RSS feed that we display through the RSS gadget. The presentation keeps going all day until the nightly reboot. In the morning or when the presentation is restarted the information is correct. At some point later in the day, the titles start getting mixed with different descriptions.

I will have to do some testing to see when the mixing begins, and if it's just shifting off by 1 or something more bizarre.

Jillian,

Is this the Auditorium presentation?

Regarding the reboot issue, is the Player auto starting upon reboot?

With the RSS, I usually run RSS links through something like https://validator.w3.org/feed/ to see if there are any comments or feedback around this end.

Thanks!

Good call on validating the RSS. The feed is generated by our event calendar software (through Evanced), and apparently it didn't strip out Microsoft's styling tags when someone pasted an event description from Word.

I cleaned up the description and that seemed to do the trick. I'll keep an eye on it, and I guess I'll have to be more vigilant about the descriptions other people contribute.

Thanks!
