I'm trying to use a custom layout template. I've copied one of the default templates to my web host and no matter what the placeholder gives the error 'The layout file could not be loaded'. The layout file is hosted here: http://www-math.umd.edu/signage/MathDirRSSStyle.html

Hey Aaron,

I'm not really familiar with the error message you're seeing. I'm going to need to try to replicate the issue. I'll get back to you when I have a better idea of what is going on.

Aaron,

I actually brought this up to the content team responsible for the RSS Widget. They saw the bug that you logged for this, and it actually is a bug that they have reviewed and they have work slated to fix.

I apologize that no one has gotten back to you on this defect, but I'll make sure someone updates the github defect to reflect it's status.

Thanks,
Blake

Aaron,

I did try hosting your layout on Rise Storage, and the layout file works from there. It looks like the defect has to do with the host not responding with a CORs header.

In the meantime, if you have a Rise Storage account, or some other place to host this layout file, it may solve your problem temporarily.

Yeah, I don't know anything about that.  We host the webserver, so I'll do some reading.

Excellent.  Thanks a lot!  I'm trying to get all of my old presentations on the new editor and platform.  This is the last piece I need to get working.
