We have a large network that is currently running Scala software and are looking for ways to introduce HTML 5 content, ie. financial, weather, sports, etc widgets.  Has anyone actually built/ purchased this type of HTML content from RiseVision and linked to Scala Designer for publishing as a way to get started?

Joyce, depending on what version of Scala Content Manager you are on, you might be able to run some HTML5 content. If you are on the latest version, 10.x, you should be able to run most HTML5 content, although I have not been able to test it. If you are still back on 6.x, then you will not be able to run it.

I would echo what Blake and Ray said, that you can install the Rise Vision player on your existing Scala players. I have done this on our network and all you have to do is remove Scala from the Startup menu if you are using Windows devices. Then just install the Windows Rise Vision player.

HTML5 content is the future for digital signage content, so keep that mind as you weigh out the options. Thank you
