Hello,
My presentation has a Rise Vision Weather gadget which properly displays the correct icon for weather. However, the temperature it shows is "NaN". See attached image. Would anyone be able to give me advice on how to correct this? Thank you very much!

Andres,

I just tried this quickly and I do get weather results based on a custom address of Boca Raton, Florida. The weather image I receive is different than what you are showing however. Temp shows as 73F

How are you entering the weather info, is it custom address, display address, Geolocation?

Hi Neal,
I was using the zip code 33431. I went ahead and tried "Boca Raton, Florida" as you described and now a valid temperature appears. Weird, but thanks for your help!!

It is possible that using the name is picking up a different part of the area than the zip code you used. I know that some areas do not have weather values recorded (from experience, the best places to use are airports)

Well, we are literally next to an executive airport. But perhaps you're right and this airport relies on data from other sources. In any case, the other interesting thing to note is that now that I using "Boca Raton, Florida" as the address, the name that appears on the presentation is "Florida Beach, Florida"

Another question, Neal: Is there a way to change the size of the weather icons? Can I change the size of the weather icons?

Again, many thanks for your prompt responses!

I saw that it was listing as Florida Beach. Is that close to Boca Raton?

Regarding changing the images, you can find additional information here about that. The images will scale slightly depending on the size of the Placeholder.

I've never heard of Florida Beach, and I have been in this area well over 10 years :) Oh well. As long as the correct data shows correctly we're ok with that :)

I will take a look at the link you sent. Again, thank you!

If the values are indeed correct, you can change the Description in the settings to be Custom so that it shows whatever you want. Normally they are set "From Service"

Indeed you can. Just noticed and corrected my label. Thanks again!

I guess I'm bringing this thread back to life.

My weather is showing NaN for today's weather but it is showing the temperatures for the upcoming days. Is there a fix for this? I've tried most of the suggestions in this thread that applied to my situation, but it still shows Nan for today's weather.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Is anyone else seeing NaN in place of the current weather conditions on the weather gadget?.

Apple, we've determined that this is due to an error being returned from the service provider, so I have contacted them to get this error corrected.

Once they respond to me letting me know it is corrected, I will let you know.

Thanks!

Looking at the Presentation I have going here, it looks like the provider has corrected the issue. I am no longer seeing NaN for your location.

Can you confirm that you're seeing the same thing?

Thanks.

Hi Jeremy,

I am not seeing any issues with using that zipcode to get weather.  I used Custom Address and then just typed in the zipcode.

Has the issue cleared up for you?  Can you try other zipcodes to determine if you are able to get weather for any location?  Also, can you try previewing the presentation in your browser versus on the display to see if the issue is isolated to a display?

Hi Jeremy,

The Rise Weather widget is deprecated now (there are some other third party widgets in the Store to replace it), but I will try with that zipcode and confirm for you if I also see the same issue.
