Rise vision playing hoopla videos will crash a couple of times a day. After a reboot, they will work fine again. Any ideas on why rise vision is crashing or how do i resolve the issues?

Trying to find rise vision, system, and applications logs on why this is happening but i can't seem to find anything. The logs aren't giving me any details on why rise vision crashes.

Help is appreciated.

Hi Chinou,

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a hoopla video? Is it a video that you display with the Video Widget?

Chinou,

Are these feeds available outside of your network? If they are, any chance you could email one to support@risevision.com so we could take a look?

Another thing you may want to look at, is see what the Task Manager (or System Monitor in Linux) looks like while the video is running. if the Memory or CPU starts to climb significantly, that may be a reason for the crash.

Yup took a look at the system resources already. CPU and memory looks good, they aren't running hot or anything. It's the actual rise vision apps that crashes not the machine itself.

Chinou,

Did you send a feed into support@risevision.com? If you did, maybe I missed it.

I don't think the feeds are available outside of our network.

Chinou,

Hmm...that may make it difficult to determine the issue,

I saw your email come into our Support team, so let me see if I can determine anything on my side. I will let you know what I can determine.

Thanks!
