Rise vision player keeps restarting

Running on a Windows 8 client, 64 bit.  The PC is a dedicated unit for a TV display, using WiFi (Ubiquiti) connectivity to our network. We're using the 64 bit Rise Vision player.  I have now uninstalled and reinstalled it, but still have the same problem:

The PC boots and does automatic login.  Rise Vision player starts about a minute later, and pulls down the content from our Rise Vision Account.  Then, approximately every two minutes or so, another Rise Vision instance opens up.  This continues on and on until the system crashes/stops displaying content.

Does anyone have an idea of what I'm doing wrong here?

Mine is acting similarly. On boot RV app is restarting 2-4 times, but never crash. It also does that at times out of the blue at the time when no reboot is scheduled. Only Windows devices do that here. It all started after the famous Google Chrome Update notification fix. I brought this to RV Team's attention some time ago, but I cannot really complain as the app never crash. To me this is just minor inconvenience.

Our players are doing almost the same thing. Win7. 64bit. Sending a 'restart' command will shut down the player, then the player restarts. Almost immediately after content starts playing, another 'restart' box pops up and the process begins anew. Happens 2-5x before it appears to take off.

Good to know I am not the only one. That does not mean I am happy, what I want to say is that it is not my device that has some issues; perhaps this is caused by RV app after all.
