Rise Vision not rendering Web Page Widget

Hey all,

I've got a rather odd situation. Independent of where and how I implement the Web Page Widget, it won't render anything in the placeholder.

Don't get me wrong, this is not a web filtering or firewall issue, it's flat out even loading the widget. The placeholder will just sit blank until the next content rolls in (if any).  There's not even a dead/no-data crome page placeholder.

I've tested with multiple address that are valid, basic web pages to rule out technical incompatibilities, but it all yielded the same result.

Any ideas?  I've searched around, and so far only seen issues that were user/network related.

EDIT: This also applies to HTML iframe embed content as well.  All systems are Ubuntu 14.04/Chrome

EDIT 2: I'm actually able to render "risevision.com".  But only "risevision.com".  Odd.

EDIT 3: Ok, I've gotten http://maddox.xmission.com/ to load as well.   What gives...

EDIT 4:  List time!

Working:

http://maddox.xmission.com/ - old html
http://risevision.com - modern html
http://wiki.assentworks.ca - modern html

Not Working:
http://trello.com - modern html
http://etsy.com - modern html
http://stackoverflow.com - modern html

Lucas,

The website widget renders all content in an iframe. If the website you're wanting to display disables iframes, it will not appear in the placeholder.

Hi Lucas, are you using Raspberry Pi's?

I have not been able to get the Web Page Widget to work at all with the Rise Vision Ubuntu release. I had even asked Blake a few months ago if anyone in the lab ever got it to run on RPi (was not looking for support Blake just an ask around the office).

In any event I own a hosting company and provided a wide open server for testing (no firewall or preventative server rules) to a basic HTML page. The Web Page Widget will not work.

I would certainly like to know if you eventually succeed.

Thanks
