Rise Player Losing Second Screen with .ini File Issues

On a dual screen setup occasionally Rise Player will loose the second screen. That screen become a dark blue color. When I go in to open the RiseDisplayNetworkII.ini file to fix it the two lines I had added previously to make it dual screen (screenwidth=3840 screenheight=1080)
have been backspaced and are no longer on their own lines in the document. They are now on the same line.

It is possible this is happening after a reboot or power failure. System Restore was disabled, but now I have enabled it and set a restore point in case that has something to do with it.

I don't know if it is some sort of encoding issue or what, maybe it was the original version of Rise Vision .ini file? There are 4 computers at the same store powering 8 screen menus all with dual displays. 2 of them never mess up and 2 of them have problems occasionally.

Putting them back on their own lines fixes the issue. This has happened a few times only on two PCs in the same location/store.

It could potentially be a hardware issue. (I am using this same hardware setup in several other locations and am having no issues but the two in this location could potentially be defective.) I was wondering is anyone else has experienced this or knows what could potentially cause this.

I woudl suggest using WordPad to edit the RiseDisplayNetworkII.ini file instead of Notepad. Using Wordpad shows each item on its own line as it should, while Notepad puts them all on the same line.

I wonder if editing that file in Notepad put some additional characters in there that are messing with the Dual Display set up.

This issue has continued even when using multiple text editors.
  • Sublime Text
  • Atom
  • Notepad++
  • WordPad
  • Notepad
  • etc.
It seems to be happening specifically on a single computer. File versioning is not enabled. I've tried to make the file read only, and that seems to have no effect.

The issue will repeat itself on the same machine once a week or so but sometimes not at all.

Any advice?
