Rise No longer works...no version

My Chrome App Players eventually don't start anymore and I have to load the native player to keep things working.  Today I had the usual crop of complaints because the Rise Player wasn't working (App didn't start).  As usual I deleted it, restarted the machine and loaded the Native player.  However, in 2 instances at the second the player was supposed to finish installing it crashed Chrome, leaving me a message, "Whoa Chrome has crashed!  Restart?"  At that point nothing works when restarted and even if I delete Chrome and reload it and start the whole process all over again, the installation of Rise kills Chrome, and kills the whole process and nothing works.  Now I have 2 machines that work great as computers, but not as media players for Rise.  Any idea?

Also, can you provide me with Display IDs of the two displays in question?

Yes.  And I keep trying over and over and Rise keeps crashing the.  I am pulling my hair out.  Right now I have players going down all over the place.  One that I don't seem to be able to load is TBBPRG4BVW9G

Just tried to delete the display and create it all over again.  No matter what happens I can't install Rise on this machine anymore.  Just as it finishes installing I get the Chrome has crashed message.

tony,

Can you send me a message through the "Send us a note" option in the help menu of risevision.com?

Either I don't know how or it's not working either.

After signing in, click the Need Help? Button at the top, select send us a note.

That's what I did.  Nothing popped up except your pic and 2 other on the right in a chat style format.  All the links were dead.  Nothing would happen.

tony,

Did you write a message and hit enter? I just tested this out, and we're carrying on numerous other conversations with other users. I can guarantee that it is working.

I just tried to send a note and the button doesn't do anything for me either in Chrome v47. One of my sub companies has all 14 displays that have all stopped connecting in the past few hours and when I reboot (Chromeboxes running v47 and the latest Rise Player version) they all say they cannot connect to the server.

Richard,

It looks like this is a problem on your network's end. It also looks like the issue has been resolved. Can you confirm?

It was not a problem with our network, just the device's ability to connect to Rise Vision (the devices had confirmed internet connectivity), but it did resolve itself sometime during the night.

When you know, could keep us posted, please, about the nature of this problem and how it was resolved.

Darius,

This problem was solved by deleting the rvplayer folder, and reinstalling.

Deleting from device? Any idea, though, why this problem has occurred on so many devices at the same time on the same network?

Darius,

I wondered that myself. Hopefully Richard can shed some light on any network issues that may have occurred that night in case another user runs into this same issue.

Thanks!
