Resolution Issues (Please Help!)

Hi everybody! I am extremely new to Rise Vision, and already have made a presentation. The entire time, I was editing with the resolution of 1920x1080. When I go to the Rise Vision app to see what it looks like, it only shows the upper right hand corner of my presentation. My computer's resolution is at 1920x1080 as well, so I have no idea why it is doing this. I figure I am new to this, and I am making some mistake someone with my little experience would make. Any assistance would DEFINITELY be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there Horizon Books and welcome!   When you say you go to the Rise Vision App to see what it looks like, are you saying that you published your presentation to the display and it looks the way you describe on your display?  Or are you saying it looks that way when you preview it?

I published my presentation to the display, and it is way too large. Thanks for the speedy reply!

well that definitely sounds like a resolution issue with the media player running the display.  What type of media player are you using?

I am using Google Chrome on a brand new Dell mini pc. I have your Rise Display app on my Google Chrome as well.

And is it windows Operating System?  Are you able to connect a keyboard and mouse to that Dell and stop the Rise Presentation and make sure the resolution of the Dell is set to 1920x1080?

Yup, I am using Windows 8.1. And I just confirmed that my Dell is set to 1920x1080

can you open your presentation and copy the URL and put the link here so I can look at your presentation?

Does hitting control and the minus sign while the presentation is running help?

When I try control and minus, it does not do anything unfortunately.

Thank you.  First of all - nice presentation.   Next - everything there is set up correctly.  Your first attempt was great.  So definitely the issue is with the media player.

The Rise Vision software automatically detects the resolution of the display it's connected to and if you click on the displays link in your account, you will see that the Rise Vision software believes it is connected to a 1280x760 display.  So even though your Dell is claiming otherwise, you need to investigate further there.  I can't really provide much more support beyond the Rise Software since that media player is one you provided, but you are on the right track - it's definitely a resolution issue with the display.

So basically, the Rise Vision software automatically detects the resolution at which my computer is running? Anyways, thank you so much for your support. Now I can narrow down the problem! Thanks again, you have been very helpful!
