Refresh web content

We are using Rise Vision to display dynamic web content.  The web page/content functions correctly on my computer without any need for a manual refresh, however on the Rise Vision presentation, the dynamic content often lags and even hangs up.  Any thoughts?

The fastest refresh rate available to the Web Page Widget is 1 minute.  By default, however, it is set to Do Not Refresh.

Can you confirm that the Data Refresh Interval is set appropriately?

Thanks.

We are currently set to "Do Not Refresh" because the refresh is pretty clunky and disrupts the presentation.  Even as set, the dynamic content does end up refreshing, just not in a timely manner.

I'm not aware of any alternatives if the Do Not Refresh is disabled.  Truthfully, I've not tried a dynamically updated site where values are updating constantly.  I know I've tried news sites in the past and didn't see any issues (with the refresh rate enabled).

Is the site public, or is it limited to just within the network?

The site is public.  Take a look here for an example... http://www.wilsoncenter.org/event-sign/6th-floor-lobby-sign

I wouldn't mind running the refresh, but it is terribly slow to refresh and the page elements load funky.

I put this into a Presentation and I noticed that the page took about 2 seconds to 100% load up with everything after the refresh. If there is other content running in the Presentation, such as videos or live updating Spreadsheets, that could also have an effect on the speed of the refresh. I haven't had any hang ups yet, but I have seen it take up to 2 seconds to complete the refresh.

The best bet right now may be to go with the manual refresh you have set up, or perhaps change it to a refresh rate of every thirty minutes to minimize the disruption to the Presentation. You may also want to consider removing or modifying other content in the Presentation to see if that improves the reliability. Thanks!
