I'm having a problem with my raspberry Pi 2's resolution settings. I've currently got it hooked up to a computer screen running rise vision presentation at 1920x1080 and it works perfectly.
But when I hook it up to my TV screen/screens (I've tried a few), it resets it self to 1024x768 (720p) and it still runs my presentations at 1080p.

Does anyone got any experience with this issue?

Do i need the exact monitor resolution settings/string from my TV screen? and if so, how do i get it?

here is also a another forum post av created http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2282019

I really appreciate any help i can get at this poit =)

Hi Adrian,

Raspberry Pi is not supported hardware by Rise Vision. This sounds like an OS/Hardware issue and is out of the scope of Rise Player.

Adrian,

There may be another user with some insight here. I'll let you know if any of my colleagues have an answer as well.

Adrian, I have had few issues with RPi's and use many with Rise.

We hooked up to one customer and the display did not fit the screen at all using 1920x1080. We had noticed when we first boot up the TV would display a quick 1024x768.

In short, the limitation was with the television/display. For that one particular display we had to create all new presentations in 1024x768 and reset the RPi output for the same.

Now the presentations fill the whole screen and looks like 1920x1080 but  the display is actually stretching the image to look proper.

Strange but it works.

So, the question... is the RPi actually resetting itself to 720p (changing the setting in your linux config file?) or is it related to the displays ability?

Hi J Juno,

I have actually thought about doing the same, but then i need to change so many presentations. This project is just something i'm working on to see if it works. could save my company a lot! =)

But to answer your question; I believe it's the config file, because i cannot make any simple changes. The 1080p settings I have on my computer screen is available
