Hi everybody,

We have made some great improvements to the Displays pages and I would like to share some of them.

First, we improved the Display list usability making it easier to find out which Schedule your Display is associated with. It is also easier to distinguish Online/Offline Displays and we added shortcuts to install Player and to add Displays to Schedules whenever needed.

We also updated the layout of Display details page, but the exciting new feature is that you can now request screenshots of what is currently playing on the Display.

Please check it out and give us your feedback. If you want more details, check our blog post.

Cheers!

Hi, knowing that RiseVision no longer supports Chrome, any chance to make this feature works with it?

Hi Luis,

sorry, Chrome is not supported at this point, only the new Players.

Thanks!

Wow! How did I miss this? When did you stop supporting Chrome? We've invested in quite a few units just to support your product. Very disappointed!!! Given the amount of $$$ we have in hardware I think we'll need to find something to replace Rise Vision.

I'm sorry to hear that Adam, we made the decision to halt development on the Chrome App Player some time ago, as you can see in this forum announcement, and we released as an open source project to the community and it was no longer directly supported or maintained by Rise Vision a short while after that.

If there are any other questions we can answer, please let us know!

I guess I am just surprised that Rise Vision did not email Chrome users or include a notice in the application itself.  The forum is a great place, but I'd suspect many of your users, myself included, do not live here.  Anyway, the decision is what it is and I am way too late to the game to make any argument to the contrary.  I'll just say, the hardware investment is significant and while I trust that the decision did not come lightly, it nonetheless had  a real impact on your user base.  For me at least, there is a loss of trust.  What's next?  Microsoft becomes too difficult and we jettison that?  That's going to be in the back of my mind with each piece of tech I buy here on out.

Hi Ezequiel,
Is their an API for the Display Screenshot feature? I'm thinking for the ability to view multiple display screenshots at once.
Thank you,
Joe Kirchner

Joe,

At this time we don't have any documentation or an API available for this functionality, but we will be sure to let the community know about that if it becomes available.

Thanks!

A big thank you to the risevision team. We finally have two of the most requested features added to the platform. Thanks a ton.

Some suggestion for next phase :

1) if we can have a label showing count of online and offline displays
2) Option to filter the list by online/offline status

regards
Prakash
