Problems Launching Rise Player on Ubuntu

Hi, I've been setting up Risevision on Ubuntu for the past couple of weeks, all was fine but the last couple of days I've had problems when starting up. Upon booting Riseplayer reports 'An unknown error has occurred. Please try again or post a question to http://community.risevision.com'. I am using behind a proxy but things have worked well for the last couple weeks. This problem started yesterday morning and I couldn't connect most of the day except yesterday afternoon it suddenly worked, I left it playing and when I came in this morning it had the same error and I'm unable to launch again. www.googleapis.com is whitelisted on our firewall together with all the recommend addresses mentioned in the documentation. The log in the installer-detail.log is:

Hi Steve,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you've been having.

Could you try uninstalling Rise Player (making sure the rvplayer folder is completely removed) and doing a reinstall of the latest version of our player? https://help.risevision.com/user/create-a-display

Does this issue persist when you are not behind a proxy?

Let me know how you make out.

Thanks for your suggestion, I did this yesterday and actually and went as far as a clean install of Ubuntu and Risevision but it still didn't get things working.

Its very strange but its started working again now for the first time this morning after trying for 3 hours, I hadn't changed anything it just started working again on both my setups, is there any particular logs you can suggest I can look at to pin point these intermittent problems?

From what I can gage from your log it appears to have been an issue with your Network, perhaps the proxy you were using was having server-related conflict as the issue has seemed to solve itself. In terms of additional logs, i'll need to inquire with another team member on this about your rvplayer directory/environment.
