I have used rise vision on two different displays before, however now trying to create a new one with the new update, it's not working. Once done installing it, all it says is "All windows closed. quitting..." and nothing happens. I don't know what to do

Hi Nathan,
Can you locate and open the RiseDisplayNetwork.ini file and check if the displayID is there? That way we can check the logs on the DisplayID. You can share the DisplayID here, or email us support@risevision.com

The .ini file should be in rvplayer.

Thanks

Nathan,
I may have located the Display that you were trying to install yesterday. Is the name "Kitchen TV"?
It looks like a Player has not yet installed on this correctly, or the Display ID was not added in. If you can confirm the name that would be useful.

Since this is the new installer, if you can locate the rvplayer folder, there should be two files - installer-detail.log and installer-events.log which should provide further details as to what has happened.

Thanks,
Hannah

Hi, I have no previous Ubuntu experience what so ever. I've got VitualBox and Ubuntu installed so far; I downloaded Rise Vision file, but have no clue how to start the installation process. Two lines of instructions on RV website are not helpful at all. So what are the steps I need to do. I open the terminal window and then what?..

OK, I figured this out, but I am being asked for some sudo password?...
